Love. Honor. Respect. Annual Benefit for the Residents of Cedar Sinai Park

2017 Annual Gala – A Huge Success!

We asked, and you answered. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our elders. This past weekend’s gala, Love, Honor, Respect, was a magnificent event and a huge success, raising significant funds to support the lives of those who call Cedar Sinai Park HOME. The evening was filled with laughter, music, and heart. Once again we stand in awe at the impact that we, as a community together, can make in the lives of our honored elders, each and every day.

Be sure to visit for photo highlights of this amazing evening! We are full of gratitude for your support, and for the love, honor, and respect you have shown our elders.

For those who were unable to join us in person – you were missed! We invite you to take a moment to enjoy this short, moving video that illustrates how we are honoring our legacy while innovating for the future.

With thanks,
Bev & Michelle

Music Now!

We have embarked upon a wonderful joint effort with the Clark Foundation and The Oregon Symphony in a program called Music Now! This program allows our residents to interact with a musician in a personal setting while being able to move with the music. Introducing the RSM Future Resident Program

Future Resident Program

We know that moving can be a tough transition. That’s why we’ve created the Future Resident Program at Rose Schnitzer Manor. The program is open to those who have chosen to move to Rose Schnitzer Manor in the next six months and put down the $500 reservation deposit. The program allows participants to be introduced to our community and makes for a smoother transition.

The perks of the program include:

  • Four complimentary meal passes monthly to any of our dining rooms
  • Access to all programs on campus including a variety of exercise classes, art classes, discussion groups, musical entertainment, cocktail parties, lecture series, movies, and more – about 75 each week to choose from!
  • Invitations to special events and celebrations
  • Use of our weekly shopping shuttles
  • Exclusive discount to the Adult Day Services Program on our Campus

To join the program, contact our Senior Living Advisor, Polina Munblit, by phone at 503.535.4004 or by email at

Help Light Up Someone’s Life This Holiday Season

Cedar Sinai Park is proud to Co-host Jewish Family & Child Service annual Holiday Campaigns

With the generous support of the community, Jewish Family & Child Service and Cedar Sinai Park will brighten the holiday season for families in need through our Holiday Campaigns.
The Holiday Campaigns are a partnership with a number of local organizations. Our Partners collect food items and/or gifts and needed household items for families and individuals served through these two important endeavors. Partners may choose to participate in collecting items for Thanksgiving Food Boxes or adopting families for the Mitzvah Menorah/Adopt-a-Family campaign – some partners support both efforts.

The Holiday Campaigns wouldn’t be possible without the help of the following Partners:

Bilal Masjid
Beit Haverim
Cedar Sinai Park
Congregation Beth Israel
Congregation Shaarie Torah
The Jewish Federation of Greater Portland
Jewish Boy Scout Troop 739
Jewish Cub Scout Troop 739
Kol Shalom
Maayan Torah Day School
Mittleman Jewish Community Center
Moishe House Portland
Portland Jewish Academy
We have also received a generous grant from The Turner Fund of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland to help support our Thanksgiving Food Box campaign.
  • The Thanksgiving Food Box campaign will provide 150 households with the ingredients for a delicious and nutritious dinner including turkey and all the trimmings.
  • Mitzvah Menorah/The Adopt-a-Family campaign will brighten the Hanukkah or Christmas holiday for 50 individuals or families by providing things they need such as household items, clothing, and toys for young children.
There are lots of ways you can help us to meet our goals and brighten many lives!

Provide cash donations

Although the community contributes much of the food and many of the gift items, there are always gaps that need to be filled with purchased items. JFCS depends on cash donations in order to shop for the remaining items. Your cash donation is critical to meeting our goals.

Support Mitzvah Menorah / Adopt- A-Family

Make a family’s holiday wishes come true by shopping for their specific needs. JFCS will match you anonymously with a family who would not otherwise have gifts at this time of year. You can shop based on their requests or simply donate gift cards.

Contribute food or gifts

Community partners serve as collection sites for specific food items and/or gifts. After November 1st you can contact them directly to find out what they are collecting and where to drop off your donations.

Join us for one or both work-party / delivery days:
  • Sunday, November 20: Thanksgiving Food Boxes – assembling the ingredients for a complete Thanksgiving dinner into a box and/or delivering the boxes to needy families.
  • Sunday, December 18: Mitzvah Menorah / Adopt-a-Family – wrapping holiday gifts, assembling them into bundles and/or delivering the gifts to needy households.
