In January, 2009, Eve Rosenfeld with Portland’s Section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) presented Cedar Sinai Park a $450,000 check in support of Kehillah Housing.
While NCJW’s generous check was presented to CSP in 2009, the Council’s strong support of Kehillah Housing began years earlier. In the Spring of 2007, NCJW reviewed one of the earliest iterations of the Kehillah Housing program proposal. It was NCJW’s generousity and forward thinking which allowed CSP to take that first leap in moving the Kehillah Housing vision into a reality.

In February of 2008, the Wayne D. Kuni & Joan E. Kuni Foundation awarded Cedar Sinai Park a $200,000 challenge grant in support of Kehillah Housing. This generous challenge grant infused energy and momentum into the Kehillah Housing fundraising campaign.
The Kuni challenge grant helped to inspire donors throughout the community to support Kehillah Housing. By December 9, 2008, community members exceeded the challenge grant goal.
