| Definition: | Responsible for nursing care of assigned residents, under the direction of a Registered Nurse; to ensure the Robison Jewish Home goal of providing care to our residents in an atmosphere of comfort, independence and dignity.

| Reports To: | Resident Care Manger or Registered Nurse Supervisor depending on shift worked

| Status: | Hourly/Non-exempt

| Qualifications:………… | Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing and holds current licensure in the State of Oregon as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must be in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
.Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years current nursing experience is required, prior long-term care experience desired. Skills: A working knowledge of nursing theory, proficient in nursing procedures and infection control practices. Ability or skill in judgment, decision-making, communication, organization, supervision, documentation and follow through. Ability to handle the many situations that are presented by residents, families, supervisors and staff. Ability to notice changes in the resident’s physical and psycho-social condition. Ability to identify reactions to medications and treatments. Ability to be flexible, adapt to change and take direction from the Nurse supervisor. Able to identify unsafe situations and plan for correction. Computer capability desirable or willing to learn. |
