Rose Schnitzer Manor Resident Art Show

Residents of Rose Schnitzer Manor recently participated in an afternoon of art and appetizers! Zidell Hall was filled with RSM residents enjoying wine, appetizers, piano music, each others’ company and most especially art work made by their talented neighbors!

Around 30 residents submitted artwork in various mediums. There are so many great people living at Rose Schnitzer Manor and some really great artists too!  All in all, it was a wonderful resident art show. Thanks to everyone who submitted their art and all who attended.

Thank you to our Veterans!

In November 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day with the following words:

“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…”

Today Cedar Sinai Park would like to take a moment to thank its residents and staff who have served their country and to also take a moment to remember those who served who are no longer with us. AMerican Flag

Jim is back to amaze us with his ability to read poetry from his memory. Jim has memorized many poems for which he will recite to us. Some are classic favorites and some are his creations.

A quote from our staff regarding a visit by Jim:

“Rose Schnitzer Manor would like to send a BIG Thank You To Jim for his presentation at our community on September 5th. Jim not only told wonderful stories, he thrilled his audience with his beautiful poetic talents as well. His presentation was delightful. We look forward to seeing Jim again in the near future. Thank you again Jim, for that wonderful event!” Shelley T., Community Outreach Coordinator, Cedar Sinai Park, Portland
