Executive Chef, Director of Culinary & Dining Services
Jon Wirtis is the Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Services at Cedar Sinai Park. He is an honored graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and did his internship at the famed Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. He joined the McCormick & Schmick’s family of restaurants where he rose to become an Executive Chef for 10 years and earned Top 100 Chef of the Pacific Northwest Award. He is a Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation and working on his Certified Dietary Manager certification this summer.
He is a passionate ballroom dancer, loves the outdoors & kayaking and currently has the World’s Record for the Largest Matzo Ball at 486 pounds cooked in 1200 gallons of chicken soup.
He is passionate about his work bringing freshness, quality, excitement and fun into his kitchens everywhere. He exudes Servant Leadership and loves his residents.
