Volunteer

Your time is an essential gift to our community

As a Cedar Sinai Park volunteer, your time is an essential gift to our residents in southwest Portland, Oregon, and the surrounding community. You not only enrich the lives of our residents, but you become part of our team, which we think will be rewarding, for you, as well!

  • Arts, recreation, and socialization. Lead or help with games and crafts that you love.
  • Excursions and local outings. Come along for shopping and trips to restaurants as a resident escort.
  • One-on-one time. Read aloud to residents, come by to chat, help with letter writing, or accompany residents on walks.
  • Holidays, parties, and other evening events. Lend a hand for parties and holiday services.
A man wearing glasses and a plaid shirt plays an acoustic guitar while singing. He is in a room with a blurred audience in the foreground. A sign on the wall behind him reads "Jay & Diane Zidell Charitable Foundation Network.
A senior man with gray hair and a white mustache is shown indoors. He is wearing a light blue, button-down shirt with subtle stripes. He is smiling softly to the camera, and the background includes a wooden cabinet and framed pictures on the wall.

"When you volunteer at Cedar Sinai Park, you take what is special about you and apply it to enrich the lives of residents who both appreciate you and need you. You get this intimate feeling of connecting with the residents. I see the people at Rose Schnitzer Manor and the Robison Home as my second family."

Becoming a Cedar Sinai Park Volunteer

Once we receive your application, a member of our volunteer team will contact you to schedule an in-person interview and orientation. Expect to complete a background check and sign a confidentiality form.
