Jennifer believes that culture is a collection of individual habits, and the influence on a community is vital to the health and well-being of every member. She was thrilled to re-join Cedar Sinai Park in 2021 after a four-year hiatus, to help serve with proactive thoughtfulness, creative curiosity, and meaningful fun. Having a voice to lead the charge and collaboratively foster a valued culture that is built to last, is one of many motivations for Jennifer to re-join the leadership team.
After studying music at Southern Oregon State University, and spending more than 25 years as a professional singer, Jennifer embarked on many professional iterations such as an esthetician, personal trainer for seniors and people with chronic illnesses, and sales and marketing manager, before landing at her “what do you want to be when you grow up” job at Cedar Sinai Park in 2009. There, not only did she love her elders, but she also found her calling providing education cross-departmentally on creating a life through destigmatizing age, encouraging a less institutional eldercare environment, and promoting staff and resident empowerment. While she was gone, Jennifer started her own event and communications company called Chickiboom Productions and traveled with Applied Curiosity Lab to help companies use curiosity as a strategic tool by being aware of bias and noise.
With her native Jewish Portland core, organizational love for the process, and wild zany nature, Jennifer plans to bring all she has to Cedar Sinai Park, the residents, the staff, and the community beyond . . . until she moves in!
