Kirsten Carr, M.D. has been medical director at Cedar Sinai Park since November of 2013. She is the founder of GeriCare which is a practice now completely devoted to adults over the age of 65 in long term care facilities. She also serves as a medical director for a hospice agency. After obtaining her undergraduate degree at Kentucky’s Transylvania University, Dr. Carr returned to Oregon to attend medical school at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Although born in Walla Walla, Washington, she lived across the border in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, for most of her formative years. She completed her residency in Family Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, before returning to Oregon for good. Dr. Carr finds great joy in working with the Robison Jewish Health Center and Rose Schnitzer Manor residents, staff, and families. Her job is more administrative now which allows her to help shape policies and oversee care for more patients with the help of her nurse practitioner employees.
